About The Artist

.Ms. Leonard was born into a traveling family. Her father was a U. S. Public Health Service doctor, and they were moved around like the military. She was married to a husband that had the family traveling from time to time, to places like Micronesia and Malaysia. These influences from different places and people impacted her world view and her approach to her art. She currently lives in Southern Arizona. She enjoys being near her family and draws inspiration from the southwestern landscape and cultures. She is an experienced artist who works in various media. She is noted for her keen eye for color, design, and use of light in composition. She enjoys experimenting with new ideas and developing new skills. She is an artist who loves making her art: drawing, painting, designing. She particularly enjoys the outdoors and drawing people in the various parts they play or have played in life.
